Why come for the VP?

This one is going to have a more of a personal touch to it, so lets begin.....

Here are some of the claims against VICE PRESIDENT Kamala Harris:

***NYT- 10 months into her vice presidency and she has to really deliver to the administration.

***Some lady who works for a think tank- she has been hiding this whole time and has been under the radar.

***CNN headline- Headline Link

After these outlets spoke, people in the white house moved to defend her. The press secretary stated that she is vital to the president and has addressed things such ass voting right to the causes of migration. The white house Chief of Staff said she is off the on one of the best starts of any vice president. He stated that she had mad an impact on vaccine equity and foreign policy.

Of course CNN said that the Chief of Staff is one of her biggest supporters so whatever he says is biased. They said after talking to nearly 36 people who worked close with her in the past and now, they all say that there is a lack of focus coming from her group.

The article goes on to say that this doesn't look good on her chances for running for re-election.

More claims:
*** The blame of the white house wrong doing is all being thrown onto the VP.

***President Biden is going to reassign her to the Supreme Court.

***President Biden and VP Harris don't have great relationship and it seems to be at a stale mate.

My 2 cents:

What I believe to be going on here is the media is beginning to become desperate and not getting enough clicks just talking about President Biden. Coming off the 2016-2020 presidential tenure, I think outlets are used to talking about both the President and VP in tandem because that was their dynamic. Trump would make some bogus claim and here comes pence defending it saying that he was right. I believe that Kamala Harris is playing the role of Vice President exactly how she needs to, staying in the background and getting things done. She didn't win because she was some radical who was going to try a remake the fabric of the US. The reason she won was after the past four years, most Americans were tired of the politics of 2016-2020 and needed some normal in the country. Here's an example that I am going to give that is going to put this in perspective, which doesn't involve politics. Imagine dating someone who is loud, and lively then you guys break up. The next person you gravitate toward wont be loud and lively because you tried that and it didn't work. I say all this to say that people tend to move to the complete opposite side of the spectrum in terms of relationships. Not only in relationships with another person but also in relationships with your governing officials. Just look at how different the President and Vice President are and it doesn't even have anything to do with their party.

  1. I think this is really interesting, as the differences between the vice presidents isn't something that's talked about all that much.It does feel like I rarely ever hear about VP Harris and it's mostly the media talking about how "Biden has dementia" or "Biden is the worst president," and even from the left, about how Biden isn't as progressive as people want him to be. Even thinking back to the Obama era, I didn't hear that much about Biden unless he did something weird or made one of his weird analogies. It would make sense that the media wants to latch on to having someone else to bash now.
