Everything's ________ in Texas??!!?!?
Personally the southern states of the United States seem to be the most politically volatile when it pertains to things dealing with personal freedoms. The article we are talking about today deals with Texas and how a judge blocked a law banned people on social media for a viewpoint. Claim (paraphrased): Social media apps are very biased and particularly strict towards conservative users. Two very big tech groups came together and said that it's law that a state can force a social platform to keep things up even though it violates their guidelines. This is the part where I agree more with the social media companies than I do the state. Their are certain things that are in control of the states such as gun laws. The federal government says owning a firearm is legal, then it is up to the states to determine how lenient or strict they are going to make the laws. For example in California you are better off not owning one because of all the hoops you have to go through and the total opposite goes for the South! I'm saying that to tell social media companies are not something legally and corporately that can be controlled by states and their government. In some cases you could argue that they are their own government and can do what they want, look at Facebook **wink wink**. The article goes on to talk about how Florida Judge also blocked a law like this one. It also states that this only came after twitter banned former President Trump off of twitter after literally inciting a riot. What do you guys think, was it wrong for the judge to ban the law or does your judgement lead you somewhere else?
